The Legacy

Rajasthan, the largest state in India, has been a centre of art and culture. Civilization was there in the state for 6000-8000 years. The Geography

The Aravali Range runs across Rajasthan from Mount Abu (1,722 m) to Khetri in the northeast dividing the state into 60% in the northwest and 40% in the southeast. The northwest tract includes the Thar Desert. The southeast is higher in elevation and plain grassland, it has sheltered the beautiful Chambal River. Farther north there is Bharatpur district in the basin of the river Yamuna.

Rajasthan is abound with hot tourist spots, in fact all have been the contributions of the Rajputs. The major tourist spots in Rajasthan include: Jaipur, Udaipur, Chittor, Jaiselmer, Pushkar, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Mount Abu, Bikaner, Mandawa, Dungarpur, Ranakpur and Ranthambore. All these places are well connected with the country by road.

Of all the destinations Jaipur is much popular in Rajasthan, because of the amenities, connectivity and location. It is famous for three phenomenal things: Magnificent fortresses, temples and gardens. It is most planned city of Rajasthan. Raj Mandir theatre, Hawa Mahal and Rajasthani Thali (supple meal) are the other attractions of the city. Apart from these, you can also get the royal feeling of Elephant Safari and Camel Safari. Jaipur is also proud to have Jana Shakti, one of the largest cannons in the world.
